It is spring and it is cold here at Habanera Farm. Personally I am not happy about it. The plants on the contrary don't seem to mind. We have very fast growing stinging nettle, greening elder trees and shooting sprouts from goldenrod. This is in fact your allergy tea in the making. The skullcap seedlings keep on popping up, we need more though! Lemon balm has decided to come up on once again another spot then last year. I know this is a calming herb and really good support for children with attention challenges, the plant itself though seems to have all the traits it treats so well in humans. The passion flower, the third ingredient from the Peace tea, will not come out for another month giving us enough time to extend its trellis because we need more! We can not afford to run out of Peace tea again. Our tropical herbs, lemongrass, holy basil, ashwaganda, gotu kola and spilanthes are growing in the heated greenhouses of 2 vegetable and flower growers nearby. Our small greenhouse does not have enough room for our plans this year.

Everything is bursting out, it is spring everywhere. Spring is unstoppable despite cold and snow or floods. Spring pushes nature forwards and spring pushes people forwards. Let spring move you, open up new possibilities, direct your face towards the sun and feel the warmth, pick some tulips or some early wild flowers and bring them in to remind you: It Is Spring!
